THE TECHNIQUE
THE SOUND OF BLISS Retreat is a day of slowness done thoughtfully, peacefully, intentionally. The power of pause as a tool for practice makes for deep inward shifts. As it will be the full moon, we limit the push and pull, and opt for slow expansion to release tension and cultivate lightness. Supportive movements. Highly skilled facilitators. The day will leave you uplifted and spiritually invigorated. All welcome!

Breathe & Chill with Nathan Star
If you haven’t already met Nathan, you’re in for a treat. He’s a breath work facilitator who educates children and adults of all different backgrounds and levels of life experience about the diverse and wonderful power of their breath.

In this experience you’ll participate in a breath work session to relax, unwind and reset the nervous system, to get you out of your head and into your body. This will be followed by an ice bath, where you’ll be guided by Nathan to use your breath to focus, build resilience and open yourself up to whole range of feel-good sensations and processes within your body, mind and emotions. Done with compassion, care and kindness. Please note that if you do not wish to experience the ice bath, you are welcome to just participate in the sound healing and breathing.

Chakras, sound and stillness
We start with a very profound chant to purify your energy centres. Then beautifully crafted crystal bowls will sound to create the optimal frequency for deep calm, transformative healing. Lindsay Simoncavage is our incredible Sound Healing Practitioner who lives and breathes sound baths. She weaves sound into all of her modalities and has curated her offering as a very high frequency, cellular shifting experience. The vibration will hold you til nothing remains. With eyes kept shut, my guidance will come in the form of touch to gently hold and guide you silently as you move safely from one pose to another.

“Sound and energy are the way forward for health in the future. We are finding our way back to these ancient healing modalities.” Lindsay

Afternoon tea
A light yummy snack to ground you

Chanting
Even humming alone will shift how sound plays a very important role in healing your world.

“The highest goal of music is to connect one’s soul to their divine nature, not entertainment” Pythagoras 569-475 BC

PROPS TO BRING ON THE DAY: A bolster (or rolled up blankets), two foam bricks, yoga mat, 90cm foam roller (if you have one), pilates ball, small balls if you have them, a thick towel and a blanket. A yoga strap or band if you have one.
